evelyn + steven | brooklyn bridge session

The Brooklyn Bridge has to be one of NYC‘s most beloved and most photographed locations. It’s hard to resist those iconic colors and the intertwining geometry of the arches and cables. So naturally we had to shoot a Freehearted session here with Evelyn and Steven. They’re some of the loveliest humans we’ve ever met. Sometimes, whether you’re dating or engaged or married, you just have to take a moment to celebrate the love your share with your SO. And that’s what we attempted to do here – to showcase the beauty of the life these two have built together. A life intertwined and mutually supporting just like those cables to keep things aloft.
The Brooklyn Bridge could be considered a cliche location, and similarly with a jaded perspective, all love can also seem cliche. But when did these things become cliche and why? Isn’t it because there was and still is something good and appealing and alluring about them? Perspective is everything, for love and life and photographs. And you can bet we’re going to find the beauty in it all. What would happen if we all admitted cliche isn’t always bad, and just fearlessly embraced who we are?
